Elements is Cornesrtone's internship program. As an intern you will have the opportunity to grow in life, increase your knowledge of ministry, work within a different culture, and so much more. Elements is based out of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Fountain Valley, California. Gary Garcia, CCF's youth pastor, is the Director of Elements. The information below answers some of the frequently asked questions.
As an intern, you will be involved in a variety of ministries. The WaveUth Ministry is our youth program. We have a youth center complete with Fountain Valley's only Skate Park. We use the youth center as an outreach to local teens. You will also be part of our children’s staff helping with an after school program and weekly ministry events. You will be involved in our Sunday services as well as other great opportunities with Cornerstone.
Part of our program focuses on spiritual education and deepening your understanding of Christian life basics. Classes will help you grow in your knowledge of the God's word, ministry skills, along with relevant application to strengthen your walk. Three examples of our classes are: New Testament Survey, Missions Heart, and Hearing God's Voice. Subjects change monthly. For students who want to go into to full-time ministry, the classes will look a little different as you will be working towards getting ministry credentials.
*Summer interns will go through 1 class together.
CCF has our own Intern House. The main area of the house includes the kitchen and living room, while the living quarters (above the garage) are totally separate for boys and girls. The house is located at the heart of the city with an easy walk to shopping, food, and especially, Starbucks.
TIME & COST
The cost for the year is $6500 USD (September - June). The cost for the summer program is $1350 USD (July – August). This covers your entire time with us and includes food, accommodations, and ministry events.
