GOD

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He lives today and has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God deserving worship and obedience.

Genesis 1:1,26,27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

GOD THE FATHER

We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe God is all-powerful and all-knowing and His perfect knowledge extends to all things past, present and future, including the future decisions of his free creatures.

Psalm 103:19; Romans 11:33, 36; Luke 22:21,22.

We believe He concerns Himself in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

 1 Chronicles 29:11; 1 John 5:14

GOD tHE SON

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of kings, and Lord of lords.

Matthew 1:22, 23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5;14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14,15; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 1:3,4;  Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13

GOD tHE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is a person and is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their sin and need for Jesus Christ as their savior. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates, baptizes into the body of Christ, indwells every believer, guides and empowers believers, and gives gifts to all believers to be used in ministry so that the church functions properly. He provides the Christian with power for declaring the gospel, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in righteous living. As Christians, we seek to live under His guidance daily.

Titus 3:5, 1 Corinthians 12:13, 2 Cor 3:17, Ephesians 4:7, John 16:7-14, 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor 2:10-16; Ephesians 1:13-14; Galatians 5:25

THE BIBLE

The Bible is God's Word to us. It is a collection of ancient writings, written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

We believe that, whereas there may be several applications of any given passage of Scripture, there is but one true interpretation. The meaning of Scripture is to be found as one diligently applies the literal grammatical-historical method of interpretation under the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit.

John 7:17; 16:12-15; 1 Corinthians 2:7-15; 1 John 2:20; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105,160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5

HUMANITY

People are made in the image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by our natural inclination to disobedience toward God called "sin." These attitudes and actions separate people from God and cause many problems in life.

Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2

We believe God directly created the first man and first woman, Adam and Eve, in His own image and free from sin. We believe God created humanity as rational, intelligent and morally responsible. Humanity has been given the purpose to glorify God, enjoy His fellowship and accomplish His will on earth.

Genesis 27:15-25; Isaiah 43:7; Colossians 1:16

We believe marriage has been instituted and consecrated by God. Marriage is defined as the exclusive covenantal union between one genetic male and one genetic female. We believe that any sexual relationship outside of the safety and sanctity of the “one male and one female marriage” is prohibited by God.

Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:3-9; Ephesians 5:22-33; I Timothy 3:12; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; 6:15-18; 7:1-9; Romans 1:24-32

We believe Adam and Eve sinned, and as a result humanity has been tainted by the effects of sin. We believe all people are sinners by nature and choice and are spiritually dead in their relationship to God.

Genesis 3; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 5:10-12; Ephesians 2:1

We believe that, although created and still bearing the image of God, a person’s ability to reflect God’s holiness has been negatively affected by the presence of sin. Humanity has the capacity to do good, sense right and wrong, and reflect aspects of God’s nature.

Colossians 3:10

We believe all people stand in need of a Savior, someone who can address their spiritually dead condition. We believe those who repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and reconciled to God.

Romans 3:10; Romans 10:9,10; 2 Corinthians 5:20; Titus 3:5

SALVATION

Salvation is God's free gift to us. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ’s substitutionary sacrifice for our sin in his death on the cross can we be saved from sin's penalty - God’s wrath. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. We accept the gift of grace given for us on the cross by Jesus. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our life by faith.

Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1

THE CHURCH

We believe that all who place their faith in Jesus Christ are immediately placed by the Holy Spirit into one united spiritual Body, the Church, the bride of Christ, of which Christ is the Head. The Church is made up of Christians from all walks of life representing all ethnicities, abilities, and economic circumstances with the common goal of bringing glory to God and becoming more like Him.

1 Corinthians 12:12-13; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 5:23-32; Revelation 19:7-8; Ephesians 1:22; 4:15; Colossians 1:18

We believe that two ordinances have been committed to the local church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Christian baptism by immersion is the solemn and beautiful testimony of a believer showing forth his faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior, and his union with Him in death to sin and resurrection to a new life. It is also a sign of fellowship and identification with the visible Body of Christ.

Acts 2:38-42; Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:1-11; Acts 2:41-42

We believe that the Lord’s Supper is the commemoration and proclamation of His death until He comes, and should be always preceded by solemn self-examination. We also believe that, whereas the elements of Communion are only representative of the flesh and blood of Christ, participation in the Lord’s Supper is nevertheless an actual communion with the risen Christ, who indwells every believer, and so is present, fellowshipping with His people.

1 Corinthians 11:28-32; 1 Corinthians 10:16

ETERNITY

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Christ. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.

John 3:16; John 14:17; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15; 1 Cor. 2:7-9

ASSEMBLIES OF GOD

Our church is associated with the Assemblies of God (A/G). We support A/G missionaries.
